These terms govern your use of the FolderChute macOS application and the folderchute.com website, provided by XploreDatum ("we", "us"). By downloading or using FolderChute you agree to these terms.

License

• FolderChute is licensed, not sold. A paid license permits you to use FolderChute on one Mac, for as long as you like (a lifetime license), including updates we publish for the app.
• A free trial lets you evaluate the full app for 7 days without a license.
• You may move your license to a different Mac by deactivating it in Settings on the old machine first.
• You may not redistribute, resell, sublicense, or circumvent the license enforcement of the app.

Purchases and refunds

Purchases are processed by Polar as merchant of record; their terms apply to the transaction. If FolderChute doesn't work for you, contact support@folderchute.com within 14 days of purchase and we will arrange a refund.

Your storage, your responsibility

FolderChute uploads files to storage accounts that you own and configure (Amazon S3 or Cloudflare R2). You are responsible for those accounts, their costs, the content you upload, and the links you share. Presigned links grant access to anyone who has them until they expire — share them accordingly.

Acceptable use

You may not use FolderChute to store or distribute content that is unlawful or infringes the rights of others.

Warranty disclaimer

FolderChute is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, XploreDatum shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or revenue, arising from your use of FolderChute. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for your license.

Changes to the app or terms

We may update the app and these terms over time. Material changes to the terms will be posted on this page. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
